New ERA seeks the service of lab technicians and staff nurses for the Nepal Micronutrient Status Survey to be carried out in 73 districts of Nepal. Interested applicants are requested to send an application letter along with their CVs and expected salaries to the email address below by November 30, 2015. The application may also be dropped at New ERA office located at Rudramati Marg, Kalopul, Kathmandu Nepal. Only short listed candidates will be called for the interview.
Requirements:
Applicants must have professional health background (lab technician and staff nurse or BSc Nursing). Candidates with clinical work experiences will be given preference. Proficiency in English and Nepali along with knowledge of other local languages (like Maithali/Tharu/Bhojpuri) will be an added advantage.
Duration: 6 months
Duty Station: Field based in Mountain, Hill, Terai districts
Required Number: 70
Major responsibilities: Collection and processing of intravenous blood sample, stool sample and urine sample from children, women, adolescent boys and girls. Candidates having knowledge of drawing blood using Vacutainer and/or having knowledge of using Kato-Katz method for analysis of intestinal helminths will be given preference.
