Position : STAFF NURSE
JOB DESCRIPTION
- O.T. Management as an OT In-charge.
- Checking emergency medication, back-up instruments, suction machine, oxygen cylinder, equipments/ surgical apparatus etc. needed for the procedure in the OT room.
- Provide reassurance to the patients undergoing any procedures.
- Screening of FP clients including STI/RTI, HIV/AIDS and treatment accordingly.
- Monitor Infection Prevention control by following IP guidelines and strengthening quality of services.
- Provide pre-operative counseling and care to the patients.
- Prepare the client both physically and mentally for different procedures.
- Assist the Doctor for Minilap and Vasectomy procedure and other surgical procedures/operation.
- Acts as a circulating nurse if needed.
- Maintain records of daily consumption in OT.
- Deliver Immunization and FP services e.g. Condom demonstration, Depo, IUCD, Implant and other reproductive health related works.
- Provide CAC/SAC services as per the government policy.
- Assist the Doctor in the major procedure.
- Provide proper post operative care and counseling to the patients till recovery.
- Provide discharge instruction, referral and follow-up as needed.
- Counseling (pre, decision making and post counseling) and Post up care.
- Nursing care of the indoor and outdoor patients.
- Helps to maintain the hospitals cleanliness by guiding the center aids and other staffs.
- Deliver the knowledge and skill to the newly appointed staff in the organization as required.
